Economic Empowerment

What do survivors need to establish financial independence?

The Economic Empowerment Services (EES) component aims to raise awareness and address the many barriers that survivors of domestic violence need to overcome when trying to achieve self-sufficiency. We provide financial abuse awareness and financial literacy along with other support services to all our clients. We cover subjects like gender roles and their influence on women’s relationships with money, culture, and other systemic structures such as patriarchy and capitalism.

Scholarships are awarded to clients who want to pursue certifications or training to further their skills and increase their chances of employment. Violence Intervention Program, Inc. will also promote alternative opportunities for self-sustainability by developing alternative resources for clients who are unable to obtain traditional employment.
