Community Education & Outreach

Community Education & Outreach

Through workshops, trainings, and coalition building, our Outreach team makes sure the community knows how to reach us and raises awareness about domestic and intimate partner violence.

Our Community Education and Outreach program, also known as La Voz, works to engage the general public in education and community action efforts against domestic violence. La Voz raises awareness about the impact of domestic and intimate partner abuse through community education, outreach, and partnership building. Our outreach team ensures that clients, advocates, and community members know how to reach us and where to get help.

With a particular focus on abuse in the Latina community, all our workshops and presentations are bilingual and speak to the unique needs of Latina survivors. Our Promotora program trains and supports post-crisis survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence to serve as community health workers and share our resources within their communities.
