My Journey at VIP
- by Adio Motayne
As I sit down to write this blog, I can’t help but reflect on my experience working at the VIP agency. This isn’t just a job for me; it’s been a journey of personal and professional growth that has profoundly shaped my perspective on life.

Working within this agency has brought me immense enlightenment. I have found just a career, but a sense of meaning and purpose in my work. The connections I’ve formed with my colleagues are grounded in authenticity, allowing me to show up as my true self. This environment fosters genuine relationships and promotes the very values we advocate for with our clients. It’s a remarkable experience that reaffirms why I chose to be here.
One of the unique aspects of my role is that I am a man working in a feminist organization. This experience has been incredibly empowering. Contributing to social change from this perspective allows me to engage with important issues in a way that feels impactful. I truly believe that more men should have the opportunity to partake in this kind of work. It’s not just about supporting women; it’s about creating a more equitable world for everyone.
Delving into the complexities of domestic violence within my work has been particularly enlightening. Understanding the historical and present-day realities of this issue has provided me with profound context regarding my own life and the lives of those around me. It has opened my eyes to how deeply domestic violence can affect individuals and communities, shaping who we are and how we interact with one another.
Through this understanding, I feel empowered to advocate for survivors-not just in my professional capacity but also in my personal life. Engaging in conversations with friends and family about these issues has been fulfilling. It’s rewarding to be part of a larger community dedicated to holistic advocacy for survivors. Together, we are working towards a better future, and every voice matters.
In my time at VIP, I’ve learned that growth comes from understanding and compassion. I encourage everyone-especially men-to seek out experiences that challenge their perspectives and contribute positively to the world around them. The journey of advocating for survivors and working towards equality is one I am proud to be a part of, and I hope to inspire others to join in this vital work.
